Located in the south west of wales is the coastal city of Swansea with an estimated population of around 240,000 people. Swansea is home to Swansea University. Its physics department makes great bounds in the sector of theoretical physics such as elementary particle physics and string theory. The university's other strengths lie in history, German and computer science.
