Course Details

MSP® (Managing successful programmes) is a globally recognised set of practises and principles that ensure a project is successful. MSP® certification allows you to apply your knowledge into the workplace straight away.

MSP® was originally developed in the late 1980's by CCTA (Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency) as a IT project management framework and it became well recongised in the the IT industry. But later, in 1996, MSP® (managing successful programmes) was released and ever since it has been very successful.

MSP® provide a wide variety of courses to accommodate for wide range of requirements. The Course Bargains provides are MSP® Foundation and Practitioner, MSP® Foundation, MSP® Practitioner, MSP® Practitioner upgrade and MSP® re-registration.

MSP® Foundation and Practitioner has been designed for people who want to get the knowledge of MSP® so you can apply it to projects in your workplace. This course had no entry environments all you need to is a interests in programme management. The course takes place over 5 days. The first part of the course, you will take the Foundation of course. During the 2nd part of the course you wil complete the practitioner part of the course.

The Foundation exam is one hour long and consists of 75 questions. The pass mark is 50%. 

The Practitioner exam lasts two and a half hours and it has 80 questions. The questions are multiple choice and the pass mark is 50%.

There are three core theories in an MSP® structure:

MSP® Principles – Following on from positive and negative involvements of programmes. This develops to the proposal of better techniques.

MSP® Governance Themes – A direction of a business’s technique to project management, how to arrange and succeed a team professionally for the best effects.

MSP® Transformational Flow – the growth of a project from beginning to end which consists of the conclusions and benefits.

What are the details for the exam?

MSP® Foundation Examination The Foundation Exam is a multiple choice paper with 75 questions. 5 of these are test questions and will not be totalled as part of the final score. The necessity is to pass the exam is a score of at least 35/70 or 50%. The exam is 60 minutes long and has a ‘closed book’ process. MSP® Practitioner Examination The Practitioner Exam is a multiple choice paper with a passing grade of 40/80 or 50% again, under the same circumstances as the Foundation exam. MSP® Practitioner position should be re-registered every 3 to 5 years via the MSP® re-registration examination.
